On my fourth birthday I was given a make-up kit as a present. I remember dipping my fingers into the different colors and putting on 'my' make-up, I was in love. As the youngest of three girls there was definitely a lot of femininity in our house. But I was always the one styling different outfits several times a day while digging around in mom's jewelry box and my sisters' make-up caboodle's to create the "perfect look".
As a very artistic child growing up in beautiful San Diego, then moving to Kansas City as a teenager I always dreamed of working in fashion and one day moving to the biggest city in America to utilize my talents. I still have magazines that I used, to rip tear sheets out of to create trend forecast collages for each season. I loved observing the many modifications materialize in the world of fashion. I have always said fashion revolves; it never evolves, but to always structure it as your own. So after high school I decided to move to New York, NY to attend the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising where I studied Fashion. After living in New York for a while I decided that the fashion industry just wasn't the right fit for me. I wanted to be apart of something that was more personable, more creative, more about the people and building lasting relationships.
Shortly after moving back to Kansas City I was asked to join a local salon as one of their make-up artist's. That is where I first got my feet wet with working my artistry on the public. That is where I found my love for making people feel beautiful while being able to utilize my natural talent. I was thrilled to have found my niche, my calling in life. So, I have continued working and studying artistry ever since. I have worked with over 50 different prestigious skin care and cosmetic lines, and all walks of life over my career.
I have never been a pushy forceful sales person, that annoys me. I have always said I am in the people business not the cosmetics business. I LOVE meeting new people, hearing their stories, meeting their kids, their family and friends. I don't have a shy bone in my body and love talking to anyone and everyone. Different personalities and lifestyles have always intrigued me. I am a very extroverted, creative and artistic woman that has always wished to incorporate that into my profession. This business is my dream, my passion, my happiness, and my future. I would love to meet you and put a lasting smile on your face. Hope you have a wonderful day and never forget my darlings, you are beautiful!
Love always,
Camille
